Boards change these sizes between recruitment cycles, so compare your row with the “How to apply” section of your current notification. If the numbers differ, open Size rules in the tool and type the new ones. Exam not in the table? Choose Custom size and enter the pixels and KB from your notification. This site is not affiliated with any board or exam in this table, or with any government body.
How to take a clear thumb impression
- Press your thumb lightly on a stamp pad. Too much ink makes the ridges blur together.
- Roll it once onto plain white paper. Make two or three and keep the clearest.
- Photograph it in good light from directly above, then crop to a square around the print. For NEET, which wants the fingers and thumbs of both hands, crop around all the prints instead.
- Choose your exam in step 1, choose the photo and download the resized JPG.
Banking exams (IBPS and SBI PO)
IBPS and SBI PO ask for the same left thumb impression: 240×240 px and 20–50 KB, in black or blue ink on plain white paper. Smudged impressions get rejected, so make a fresh one rather than cleaning up a blurred print. If you cannot use your left thumb, follow what your notification says for that case.
NEET (NTA)
The NEET (UG) 2026 information bulletin asks for “Left and Right Hands Fingers and Thumb impressions” as a JPG/JPEG of 10–200 KB. It gives no pixel size, so the tool starts at 600×400 px, wide enough for the prints of both hands. Follow the layout your application form shows.
Portals disagree on whether 1 KB is 1,000 or 1,024 bytes. Files from this tool stay under the maximum and over the minimum by both definitions, so a “50 KB max” limit is never exceeded by a few bytes.
